Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke was today arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos by men of the Airport Command of the Nigerian Police Force.
Iyke was nabbed by the police after he slapped a Dana Air security guard over alleged time wasting.
According to reports, Iyke was due to board a 12:15pm flight from Lagos to Abuja but was running late to catch the flight and the airline security guard tried to help him catch the flight by searching him.
However, Iyke was said to have refused to be searched but the guard insisted on searching the star actor according to airline rules.
An angry Iyke reportedly dealt the guard a slap after accusing him of wasting his time.
The actor was subsequently arrested by the police but he was freed after he apologised to the guard he slapped.
Dana Air’s Media and Communications Manager, Kingsley Ezenwa confirmed the incident and Iyke’s apology, The Punchreported.
Despite his apology, Ezenwa added that Iyke missed the flight, which was still on ground when he slapped the guard.
