Leicester renew bid for Super Eagles star

Leicester renew bid for Ahmed Musa

English Premier League champions Leicester City have renewed their bid to lure Super Eagles and CSKA Moscow forward, Ahmed Musa, to the King Power stadium.

After the initial failed bid during the January Transfer Window, surprise English Premier League winners were said to have set aside £23million for Nigerian attacker Ahmed Musa in the European summer transfer.

It would be recalled that Musa’s present club CSKA Moscow rejected a $21.6m (£15.1m) offer in which Leicester were poised to improve the fee up to the tune of $27m (£18.9m) valuation of the forward, with Manchester United also keen on landing the striker before the close of the transfer window, but to no avail.

With the latest development, former Super Eagles winger, Tijani Babangida, has advised Musa to do everything he can to seal a transfer to England when this season ends.

“Ahmed (Musa) should not think twice before he agrees to join Leicester City,” Babangida told AfricanFootball.com

“He will be a big hit in England because he has all the qualities to be successful in the EPL – his speed, technique and shooting ability – will see him through in England.

“It was a pity he was not allowed to move in January.”
