The Siasia-led Nigeria U-23 team, known as the dream team, have been drawn in a potentially tricky group for the 2016 Olympics game in Brazil this summer.
The draw which took place today at the Maracana stadium pits the current African U-23 champions in the same group as European under-21 champions Sweden, Colombia and Japan.
Siasia would be expected to rely on Nigeria’s foreign talents like Alex Iwobi (Arsenal), Kelechi Iheanacho (Man City) as well as local talents like Etebo Oghenekaro to get the job done in Brazil as Nigeria looks to claim the trophy.
Elsewhere, Brazil are drawn in group A alongside South Africa, Iraq and Denmark while there is a possibility of Cristiano Ronaldo facing Lionel Messi as Argentina and Portugal are in Group D.
