For those who follow Meghan Markle on social media and love to go back and view old photos of the soon-to-be royal, this will be sad news – Meghan Markle has deleted all her social media accounts.
Meghan Markle
Before her relationship with Prince Harry became public, she had a blog (The Tig), an Instagram account, a Facebook page, and a Twitter account. Markle curbed her posting the moment news broke that she and Harry were dating in November 2016. Then in April 2017, after she and Harry became serious, she announced on Instagram that she was closing the blog. Soon after the announcement, she stopped posting on all her social media accounts altogether. Now that she and the Prince are about to get married, she has gone the whole nine yards by having all her social media accounts deleted.
A search for her on Instagram now shows: “Sorry, this page isn’t available.”
Though a lot of people anticipated this will happen considering that the British royals aren’t allowed to run their personal social media accounts, it still comes as a shock and a lot of her fans are devastated.
Kensington Palace confirmed that Ms. Markle has shut down all her accounts. The palace said she was “grateful to everyone who has followed her social media accounts over the years” but had closed them “as she has not used these accounts for some time”.
